PRIMARY FUNCTION :
This position is responsible for the unloading, packaging, decanting and putaway activities. Responsible for supervising the activities of the Inbound Department.
to maximize productivity within headcount and expense budgets. The Inbound Supervisor responsibilities include planning and directing all phases of Intbound processes, identifying "best methods", and developing / implementing updated processes to achieve increasing successes and improve quality of work.
The manager is responsible of the activities regarding our External Packager.
Strong cooperation with other warehouse functions.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Plan, assign and supervise daily work assignments
Maintain productivity and quality levels as set by Warehouse Manager
Resolve employee issues
Identify and implement process improvements
Identify opportunities, implement changes for operational productivity improvements, service, quality, and cost efficiencies.
Oversees Inbound processes as well as manpower ensuring efficient and accurate putaway of product
Assure employees are thoroughly trained in processes and business practices / policies
Responsible for the safety, Service level , productivity and quality performance of the inbound flow.
Oversee and supports safety programs to reduce or eliminate employee injuries; ensure personnel follow all safety guidelines
Promotes a positive working environment, which fosters open communication at all level of the operation.
Responsible for creating, developing, and monitoring each supervisors development planning process.
Provide direction to supervisors and holding hourly employees accountable to achieve productivity, quality and safety objectives and best service level to the customers
Continuously look for areas to reduce warehouse putaway errors and delay while reducing costs.
Coach, counsel and administer discipline as appropriate to ensure employees achieve adequate performance levels
Conduct investigation of serious safety and misconduct incidents in the workplace
Conduct daily communication meetings with employees
Constant communication with hourly associates on work to be assigned, establishing priorities and ensuring compliance to operating standards.
Provide updates to the Warehouse Manager on issues requiring additional resources.
Responsible to the PDC Manager to provide operational updates, written and oral reports, and operations summaries.
Train and mentor supervisors to handle associates concerns / complaints and development needs
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS :
BS Degree (Business, Industrial Engineering, Finance or Logistics preferred)
Minimum of 2-4 years supervisory experience
Knowledge of distribution / warehousing practices and procedures
Strong analytical, investigative and communicative skills
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence others without formal authority
Excellent organizational influence and critical thinking skills
Ability to make progress on multiple priorities concurrently
Ability to work under pressure
Demonstrated experience in WCL, WCM or lean methodologies
High level of English language skills (C1 / C2)
Regular and consistent attendance
