Job summary / Role description
The Data Scientist is in charge of framing digital solutions, involving past and current data mining, and analysis and information management, with the support and the means of state-of-arty computer science.
The aim is gathering and structuring business intelligence, solving business problems and optimizing the performances of the business functions and projects or processes.
Duties and responsibilities
The Data Scientist shall :
Understand the business and operations related data sets;
Assist business stakeholders to understand the problems, requirements and possible improvements;
Apply advanced analytics and statistical modelling to initiatives for the EPC industry;
Build algorithms or models for developing digital initiatives, but also to generate and leverage insights to solve business issues or increase process efficiency;
Define, gather and structure the best practice body of algorithms, analytic processes, models and other intellectual tools of the statistical analysis of data for the benefit of the business.
Person Specification
Knowledge & Qualifications
PhD or Master’s Degree in computer science, statistics, machine learning, or other data centric disciplines;
Fluency in Python and at least another programming language;
Experience
2-4 years of relevant work experience providing advanced analytics solutions strongly preferred;
Demonstrated skill in the use of applied analytics, descriptive statistics, and predictive analytics on industrial datasets;
Skills and Abilities
Team-oriented skills, self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution;
Mandatory fluency in English;
Fluency in Italian preferred.
