The person will be responsible for the Soft Wheat sourcing management and performance (assurance of supply, quality, costs, service, and innovation).
S / he will also responsible of wheat procurement and flours / by-products outbound, and for environmental aspects and certification.
Guide wheat breeder, cooperative towards new wheat variety in compliance with Barilla requirements
Cooperate for Carta del Mulino improvement with other members of the team
Scout and select new potential suppliers in cooperation with Quality department
Regularly perform wheat market analyses and sourcing strategy
Cooperate with Mill Quality Manager in order to identify the grain needs by quality
Develop projects for wheat cultivation according Carta del Mulino in Europe
Manage suppliers relation and negotiate best price considering the total cost of ownership
Assure compliance with Barilla and legal rules for the contract definition
Responsible for deployment of Environment & RSA activites in the Mill
Follow the ISO 14001 certification audits / Insert in SAP purchasing contract
Optimize the sales of byproducts every time is possible / Insert sales price weekly
Optimize the wheat / byproduct transport cost every time is possible
Manage the procurement of the wheat / Manage the delivery of the flour and the byproducts to the costumer
Support the monthly closure / Monthly inventory
Master’s degree in Food Science & Technology, Agriculture, or similar fields;
2 to 5 years of experience as Buyer or in a structured Purchasing department;
Fluency in English is mandatory, a second language will be considered a plus;
