    For our Field Service Team based in Italy, we are looking for a Field Service Technician that will provide state-of-the-art onsite services (installation, preventive maintenance, break-fix / troubleshooting call-out, site survey etc.

    and technical support to customers on our range of Auto ID products, in particular our range of Stationary Industrial Scanners.

    Responsibilities & Tasks :

  • Install (mechanical, cabling), configure and start-up (commissioning) Datalogic equipment at the customer’s site as per pre-defined specifications.
  • Maintain, adjust and replace onsite Datalogic devices of existing customer systems
  • Follow rigorously safety and security onsite company procedures
  • Escalate to upper technical level problems that can’t be solved independently
  • Issue timely and accurate service reports (including expenses report)
  • Extend or help building a respectful relationship with customer by always adopting an exemplary attitude
  • Travel frequently to the customer’s sites, which are located within and outside Italy, remaining in the EMEA area
  • Requirements :

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in technical fields such as Electronics
  • Fluency in Italian and English
  • Preferred 2+ years of experience in field service activities
  • Electrical Schematics reading
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostic experience of hardware and software
  • Remote PC diagnostic and remedy support
  • Good understanding of computer networks
  • PLC communications experience : Device-net, Profinet, Profibus
  • Experience working with auto ID products
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software (MS Dynamics is a plus)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
