The Grounds supervisor ensures the temple ordinances are kept pure, recorded accurately and made available to worthy Church members by :
Providing an environment where patrons may have a positive and uplifting experience each time they come to the temple;
Maintaining and operating temples at standards established by the First Presidency.
He ensures the proper high standard care and maintenance of the grounds, parking lots, fencing, grounds buildings, and general appearance of buildings exterior and ancillary facilities.
College degree in horticulture or a related field with at least two years of seasoned, technical experience; or eight years of seasoned, technical experience in landscape gardening.
One year of supervisory experience.
Practical knowledge and application of gardening principles.
Licensed, as required, as a non-commercial pesticide / chemical applicator.
Understanding of and ability to work with sprinkling systems.
Basic computer skills
Licenses as required by law.
Must be able to lift up to 25 kgs.
Perfect knowledge of the Italian language Fluency in the English language will give advantage

Knows the site and its characteristics, reviews plans, understands plantings which grow best in the local climate and soil conditions and their characteristics.
Makes sure that all proper licenses are acquired and maintained as required by local law.
Develops and supervises the ongoing activities on the grounds by scheduling, contracting and coordinating the work of external companies.
Personally, participates in the grounds maintenance program. Operates and maintains the grounds buildings and other such facilities efficiently and economically.
Sees to it that they are kept clean and in good repair.
Responsible to see that walks, driveways, parking areas, fences, and grounds are kept clean, safe and weed and leaf free.
Removes snow as needed.
Reports needed repairs to the building engineer. Sees that schedules for proper watering, fertilizing, mowing, and weed and insect control on all lawn areas are carried out.
Coordinates these requests with the building engineer.
Assures that equipment and chemicals are properly used, safely repaired, services, stored and accounted for.
Follows plans and helps plan in advance for the preparation of flower beds, foundation and border plantings as season requires to assure desired appearance throughout the year.
Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and hold a valid temple recommend.
