We are looking for an Upstream Pre Commissioning Electrical Engineer for an important company specialized in Oil&Gas sector.
Planning and execution of electrical design, preparation of drawings and specifications, and assistance during procurement and construction.
Interaction with clients during project design, construction, and commissioning phases, participation in client discussions, attending meetings with contractors addressing construction issues.
Multi-disciplinary coordination with project team, coordination of electrical design with architecture, interior design, structural and electrical systems.
Supports project requirements including schematic design narratives, drawing documentation, system design and technical specifications.
Manage and complete off-site testing and pre-commissioning activities by suppliers or others, and onsite testing and commissioning activities by commissioning agents.
Perform site visits for field surveys, construction observation and punch lists.
Researches, prepares and presents coordinated commissioning options.
Ensure all necessary commissioning documentation is produced in a timely manner and co-operate with technical documentation teams to ensure timely delivery of O&M manuals.
Produces commissioning documentations that meet required codes and quality assurance standards.
Your Capabilities and Credentials Basic ability in performing UPS, HVAC and / or Plumbing design.
Knowledge of the electrical, mechanical and / or plumbing codes, energy codes, NEC / NFPA, ASHRAE standards, and other building codes.
Knowledge of building electrical systems, means and methods, materials, and industry standards.
Basic understanding of all phases of engineering document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
Recognizes when technical problems are developing and initiates appropriate corrective actions.
Ability to check own work for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
Prefer experience with Newforma, Trane Trace & eQuest Ability to drive, travel, and work after normal business hours (Mon-
Fri after 6pm) and over the weekends.
Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field and at least 3 years of related experience.
EIT is preferred.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
