With direct report to the local Marketing Manager, and leading a small team, your main responsibilities will be :

Strategic Planning :

  • Create, guide and coordinate the development of Category plans in line with the FC Italy strategy and local Marketing strategy resulting in the desired category / brand / product positioning.
  • Guide and coordinate the trade marketing vision and strategy and actively driving the translation into the country strategies and plans.
  • Consumer / Shopper activation :

  • Deliver consumer / shopper communication tools, fitting market conditions & key sales channels.
  • Lead the development of (new) communication platforms and integrated touch-point planning across Italian regions to drive synergy and ensure a consistent brand identity / message.
  • Work with thebrand marketing team to ensure that the shopper, customer and product agenda is championed at the point op purchase.
  • Strategy Execution :

  • Develop, implement and monitor the execution of the marketing strategy and take corrective actions in case of deviations, in line with the overall FC Italy policy, resulting in the agreed objectives.
  • Collect and evaluate data to track main KPIs, thereby generating cross-brand insights to track and improve category performance.
  • Lead the instore elements of the product launches.
  • Category development / shopper marketing :

  • Develop category management, based on pricing and promotion strategy in close cooperation with sales (both Modern and Traditional trade).
  • Develop / coordinate / monitor instore and online activities.
  • Coordinate the development of shopper marketing strategy and activities.
  • Shopper marketing budget Management :

  • Manage the financial process, including developing an operational plan (taking the consumer needs in consideration) and budget for the appointed brands, in compliance with the FrieslandCampina Financial, Management policy, resulting in the agreed financial objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the activity mix and ensure optimal spend allocation using optimal portfolio management and continuous performance management.
  • Project Management :

  • Define, plan, manage and coordinate (principal) programs and projects (to execute the category marketing plan) within the project management toolkit of Friesland Campina.
  • New channels business development :

  • Bring insight to the whole Marketing / Sales team, and develop / accelerate new business growth opportunities.
  • Market analysis :

  • Manage the design and execution (with the help of a Junior Business Analyst intern) of research programs (key source : Nielsen).
  • Deliver clear and timely communications of program updates to the team, stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
  • Support synthesis and creation of key reporting outputs that communicate issues and oppurtunities to the sales team, as well as all levels of the company.
  • Play a key supporting role within the sales team, both internally (working with sales) and externally (building relationships during presentations).
  • Key requirements :

  • Degree in Economics (preferably specialized in Consumer Marketing Management);
  • 5 years shopper and customer marketing understanding and experience (trade marketing; category management)
  • Solid understanding of marketing / commercial strategy and tactics
  • Experienced project Management (incl. financial impact)
  • Data monotoring & analyzing skills (structured decision making based on solid insights)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to work in a start-up environment (stress and uncertainty management)
  • Willingness to travel and to work flexible hours
