Job purpose

The Payroll Supervisor will be part of a growing payroll department, providing payroll services to a diverse range of international clients.

The Payroll Supervisor will have a solid understanding of payroll legislation and will be able to process payrolls from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

  • Assists the Payroll Manager for coordination of the department;
  • Leading the team dedicated to a specific large scale client (among others) and dealing with the client
  • Payslips cycle activities (from Time and Attendance to payslips run)
  • Gross to Net reconciliations
  • Periodic Pension / Social Security payments calculation
  • Annual Withholding Tax Return (Certificazione Unica and 770 Model)
  • Maintains a high level of technical and legal skills and transfers knowledge to the team of junior payroll consultants;
  • Develops, transfers and maintains knowledge of all the team’s client portfolio;
  • Develops and maintains supporting and control worksheets to support payroll control processes;
  • Involved in the selection and training of a team of junior payroll consultants;
  • Prevents and solves problems on all the clients of the team’s portfolio, in coordination with the Payroll Manager;
  • Responsible for the maintenance of her / his client’s payroll accounts;
  • Reviews and processes payroll data;
  • Researches and resolves payroll related issues of the clients in coordination with legal / labour advisors of the client,
  • Responds to inquiries regarding payroll transactions;
  • Monitors all the monthly, quarterly and annual payroll deadlines using the defined tools;
  • Reviews and coordinates social security and tax filings to meet required deadlines according to Italian legislation,
  • Assists the Payroll Manager in the set-up and implementation of new clients.

  • Understands TMF Groups' business lines, regulatory requirements and how the organisation is structured;

  • Is responsible for debt collection and negotiation of fees with clients in area of accountability;
  • Will delegate work across the team as appropriate;
  • Will be expected to support less experienced staff;
  • Will share knowledge to ensure targets are met;
  • Builds and maintains relationships at all levels across the Group;
  • Will be mindful of cultural differences across a diverse organization;
  • Communicates (verbally and through written work) information in a clear and concise manner;
  • Will manage stakeholders' expectations with regards to delivery, escalating concerns as appropriate;

  • Key requirements

  • Fluent in English both written and spoken;
  • Proven experience in a payroll role within a payroll delivery position;
  • Expertise in all MS Office packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook);
  • Degree in Law and / or Economics;
  • at least 6 / 7 years experiences in similar Organizations.
  • Organizational reporting

  • Payroll Supervisor will report directly to the Payroll Manager.
