Title of position : Intern Marketing Specialist Name of Department : EEMEAI Location : Milan, Italy Intern’s Tutor : Marketing Manager ACDx (Acute Care Diagnostics) Position Summary The Intern Marketing Specialist supports the Marketing Manager ACDx in driving the market research project for new product launch in Acute Care Diagnostics business for internal and external stakeholders across selected EEMEAI territories.
He / She contributes to pre-launch activities in positioning, differentiation, pricing strategy and competitive analysis through stakeholder engagement and networking.
Moreover, he / she contributes to the deployment of the marketing strategy in EEMEAI derived from Corporate product strategy, including defining, developing, and implementing pre-launch and controlled release marketing plans and marketing tools for new product launch.
Key Activities during the Intern Project Key activities include supporting the Marketing Manager ACDx in :
Defining, developing and implementing a product launch plan in Acute Care Diagnostics busines, engaging end-users and adapting to local market needs.
Primary & secondary market research, defining pricing recommendation, and managing pre-launch and controlled release marketing plans.
Deploying of the necessary and updated new product launch toolkit (eg. education, presentations, health economic tools, etc.
to affiliates, channel managers, distributors, specialized KAMs and customer support to assist them in achieving the launch objective in selected countries.
Collecting data on competitive information in collaboration with selected stakeholders in EEMEAI with the objective of analyzing, mapping, and communicating the summary of findings in order to confirm the positioning and improve product awareness.
Collecting information in scientific events (Congresses, Seminars, Symposia...) to identify and engage with stakeholders, scientific information that reinforce the product value and innovative scientific trends.
Planning, organizing and promoting two Werfen sponsored scientific events to strengthen the scientific knowledge, positioning and establish the new product as the standard of patient diagnostic management.
Working with EEMEAI Marketing team, Distribution Partners and Werfen SBU and coordinates with scientific advisors in identifying and characterizing customer needs.
Consulting the scientific literature with respect to the new product and those of competitors.
Meeting the specific product launch milestones agreed with Marketing team. Internal Networking / Key relationships Key relationships include : · Internal : Sales Customer & Support Department Order Office Logistics Communication Office;
External : Clients Users Distributors. Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position · Education : Degree in scientific disciplines followed by a Master or postgraduate course in Marketing.
Experience : o Experience in product launch and market research projects o Past experience in healthcare projects is a plus o Consolidated experience in medical practice and / or business related experience in an IVD or Medical Device industry is strongly preferred.
o Business skills and previous experience as a Ward or Laboratory Manager will be considered as an asset. · Additional Skills / Knowledge : o Strong knowledge of marketing o IT skills : Microsoft Office o Language : fluent English is a must.
Travel requirements Possible business trips to be evaluated according to local restrictions related to COVID-19 spread.
