The key purpose of the role is to manage and govern the Regional IT Process Optimization team within the IT MLEMEA Product Management Organization.
This implies (but is not limited to) :
Leading the Regional IT Process Optimization Team. Leading must implies strong soft-skills as well as ability to lead the team by example being able to address real problems with practical results
Create IT Process Optimization operating model and influence / be influenced the country teams to establish a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration
Establish a win-win collaboration mechanism with OpsEX and OPS to ensure proposed solutions will be promoted and adopted on the shop floor
As the function is new, the role will work in close collaboration with the MLEMEA Head of IT Products to work on a start-
up plan and a strategy to move toward a steady state in the shortest possible period.
Define and implement a new set of services targeted at implement an effective IT Process Optimization program across MLEMEA
Responsibility to define, design, implement and control all the operational processes that are needed to grant the Governance of the services delivered as part of the function
Participate into the Regional IT Community by promoting regular sessions with country SPOCs where experiences on process optimization are shared and re-used across MLEMEA
Light supplier management to get advantage of off-shore flexiblity if and when needed
Regular communication (Meetings, Conference Calls, Written) with Senior Country and Regional Management Teams to ensure that the right level of Governance is provided
Support the definition of IT Process process sharing to stimulate roadmap by ensuring the Regional requirements and needs will be fulfilled
Define and drive mechanism to identify and prioritize proper candidates for process review and optimization projects
Ensure availability of product knowledge and expertise, maintain up to date documentation, training material and document repositories
Actively participate into the Accelerated Digitalization program, in particular on Smart Logistics to guarantee best processes enabled by new technologies are implemented, when needed
Constantly visit sites across MLEMEA and build either a personal and team knowledge on sites processes and challenges
Manages the relationships with the supplier ensuring the service is provided according to the agreed Service Levels and quality standards
Strive for continual service improvement and operational efficiency, support unstable running operations, optimization projects
Coordination and Financial Management, Invoice and Recovery management, Financial Analysis and Planning. Key point of contact towards vendors for all the activities related to quotations / cost estimations, invoicing and accounting for related services
Build working relationships with the BU and BUIT
Build working relationships with the Europe Regional / Country teams
Develop and maintain a motivated IT Process Optimization Team
Improve team’s stability and collaboration
Motivate and provide mentoring & development of business key skills
Convinces & engages / involves all relevant stakeholders to assist in direction and decision making
Stimulate personal and professional development via regular one-to-one sessions and active leadership
Minimum 3 years of experience working in DP DHL IT Product Management context and working with any WMS Product, Service or Deployment Management Team
Deep and broad knowledge of key strategic products within the Logistics environment, particularly in the WMS arena.
Deep and broad knowledge of DHL’s IT Product Catalogue.
Deep and broad functional and technical experience, including solution and application design, application testing tools and quality standards.
Customer Orientation understands the customers’ business environment and seeks to add value to the customer relationship by delivering a top quality service within budget.
Cross-border thinking demonstrates a methodical and pragmatic approach to delivering Product Management services across wide geographies within a complex multi-cultural organization
Some experience in contract definition and negotiation with service providers would be desirable.
Shaping direction a strategic thinker with an appreciation of enterprise-wide long-term goals, customer needs and industry trends.

Experience in working in multi-cultural geographically dispersed teams
University bachelor degree in a IT or business discipline or relevant education and work experience preferably in Forwarding / Logistic sector
Program / Project management certification desirable (e.g. Prince II, PMP)
Fluent in English (verbal and written)
ITIL v3 certification (foundation)

Capability to challenge and reject ideas logically and constructively
High level of organisational skills to work on a variety of assignments in parallel to conflicting timescales whilst achieving delivery to committed dates
