Danfoss is looking for an experienced Applications Manager who will be responsible for providing world class technical support for the Danfoss Cooling product Portfolio in Italy.
In this position, you work closely with the Account Manager, Regional Sales Managers, Sales Engineers, and you provide technical support for all Danfoss Cooling products portfolio to our customers : Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), Key Accounts, Wholesalers, etc in Italy.
You support before sales and after sales activities. You play an important role by providing : component & system expertise, overall support in the product selection, component qualification, troubleshooting capability analysis.
In addition, you are responsible to ensure that critical application knowledge obtained in the field are communicated back into the factories to both improve our existing products and help in development of new product platforms.
You manage a team of field systems Engineer. You collaborate with business units from cooling division, you collaborate with local and global specialists and experts from the Danfoss Group.
Task and Responsibilities
Provide relevant technical support to customer and sales for existing and future business.
Act as main point of contact for customer for quality topics, mostly for application related discussions
Be the voice of the customer within Danfoss Cooling organization for application related matters and bring critical application knowledge obtained in the field to the organization to improve existing product and support development of new product
Identify the critical sales factors from a technical standpoint, in customer projects and propose / drive activities to achieve them
Participate in / Perform product and training presentations including new product introductions
Handle specific customer request with other Danfoss Cooling department (engineering, lab, TPM, logistic )
Ensure products are being properly handled / installed at the customer factory level
Coordinate technical decisions with factories, Account Managers, and etc.
Maintain and cultivate customer relationships with emphasis on key decision makers; Frequently visit customers to improve overall visibility and customer loyalty
Share and discuss system and application know how in a regional team of experienced and professional Field Service Engineers
Manage the five fields systems Engineerss, train & develop their competences and behaviors.
Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or other related fields,
15+ years of experience in HVAC / R, ideally with OEMs,
Good knowledge of vapor compression systems and of cooling product technologies,
Capability to understand and analyze the interactions between the refrigerating circuit components, their impacts on reliability and efficiency
Excellent command of Italian language
Good command of English language
Ability to work in teams and in a cross-cultural environment

Strong personal commitment and self-motivation
Relationship builder and team player skills in a global environment
Customer focused coordination and communication skills
Willing to travel regularly within Italy and in Europe
