Job Duties :
New business development within retail chain Establishing direct relationships, securing listings and growing long term sustainable partnerships.
Thorough account planning, proactive management of revenue / margins and best in class customer service in line with Newell Home Fragrance and retailer strategies.
Drive best practice in stock / sales forecasting & service / availability management. This requires an eye for detail, an obsession for EPOS, a good understanding of the end to end supply chain and the tenacity to chase down internal and external stakeholders.
Develop all aspects of the customer relationship from identifying new opportunities for growth through to category management of on-going product listings.
A regular face-to-face account contact strategy will be required to develop and maintain the value-added approach required (weekly / bi-weekly meetings dependent on account).
Maintain full profit and loss responsibility for managed accounts, driving growth by increasing profitable throughput & accurately forecasting volume, value, GM and account budgets within agreed timescales.
Work cross functionally with all relevant teams to proactively manage product ranges through the full planning cycle and champion your account requirements in the process.
There will be a heavy emphasis on consumer / customer insight throughout.
Create, own and proactively manage 12 month rolling promotional and above the line plans with account objectives in mind and engaging all relevant stakeholders in the process.
Coordinate and deliver best in class on-line and in-store experience as appropriate within brand guidelines.
3+ years Commercial Management and or 3+ years National Account Management
2+ years Sales management
Category management experience (as an Account Manager, not a cat-man specialist)
Proven track record and a passion for new business development
Detailed knowledge of all major retailers
Robust track record of delivering account growth and customer service
Able to demonstrate both strategic development and hands on management of a relevant account portfolio
Fluent English, spoken and written
