TI’sFAST (Field Applications & (Technical) Sales Trainee) Rotation Program isdesigned to prepare Sales & Applications team members for customer-orientedcareers that pair technical skills with business perspectives.

The program providesexperiences that help rising TIers understand how to successfully grow TI’sbusiness and to thrive throughout their entire TI career.

There are twoavailable FAST program tracks : (1) Field Applications Engineer and (2)Technical Sales Engineer.

TechnicalSales Engineer track

This8-month experience aims to teach Technical Sales Associates (TSAs) how to buildand manage customer relationships, and how to influence decisions to grow TI’srevenue.

The track includes three rotations* :

Rotation 1, FieldSales Office (FSO) : This 3-monthrotation integratesTSAs with a local TI sales team, offering first-hand experience of TI’s salesprocess.

TSAs partner with customers and internal teams to uncover and winevery possible customer opportunity, and also leverage our one-of-a-kindvirtual account system to learn how to find, define, and win opportunities in amix of real-time and simulated environments.

Rotation 2, SalesOperations : This 2-month rotation provides first-hand experience working with the pricingand customer service teams.

Focus areas for this rotation include pricingmodels, supply chain functions, price negotiation, and an overview of pricingguidelines, laws, procedures and tools.

Rotation 3,Product Marketing : This 3-month rotation focuses on the relationship between sales and aparticular product line.

This rotation helps TSAs understand product lifecycles, roadmap development, marketing approaches, and ways to collaborate withproduct marketing to win at the customer.

  • Rotationsinclude international assignments.
  • Uponsuccessful completion of this track in the FAST program, rotators are welcomedas Technical Sales Representatives (TSRs) on TI’s Worldwide Sales &Applications team.

    TSR responsibilities include :

  • Using technical expertise, various salestools and relationships with engineering teams to identify projects
  • Managing and quantifying leads, and managingthe commercial aspects of customer relationships
  • Developing, forecasting and monitoring anannual plan for revenue growth
  • Qualifications

    Minimum requirements :

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, ComputerEngineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field
  • Solid understanding of schematics, layoutsand digital components
  • Knowledge and understanding of analogcircuitry (examples include : op-amps, DC / DC power, data converters, sensing,etc.)
  • Excellent written and spoken communicationskills in English & Italian arerequired
  • Preferred qualifications :

  • Ability to effectively balance strongtechnical skills with solid relationship-building capabilities
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communicationskills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborateeffectively with people across various functions
  • Strong time management skills that enableon-time project delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, influentialrelationships
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-pacedand rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive forresults
