Our Plant in Mirandola, is part of Machined Implatable, Capital and Disposable Operations cluster. We serve our Respiratory Intervention Operating Unit to deliver solutions and products that prevent the onset and improve the management of respiratory failure.

As Supply Chain Manager, reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will lead two teams (8 people each) accountable for Sourcing, Planning and Logistics.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned :

  • Performs supply chain and logistics functions such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution.
  • Creates integrated processes among internal functions (e.g., operations, purchasing and logistics) and outside suppliers.
  • Plans and analyzes activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions.
  • Essential Functions

  • Supervise the raw material supply in order to guarantee production continuity and the minimum safety stock level.
  • Supervise the production schedule of components, semi finished goods and finished goods in order to meet net requirements (forecasts) and service targets (NRA, PA, Backorder).
  • Work with Marketing and Logistics Planners in order define and validate annual production volumes.
  • Identify new suppliers that meet Corporate requirements in terms of quality, costs, delivery. Track performance of existing suppliers and take follow up actions in case of performances below the target.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement
  • Meet financials objectives : inventory level (plant and WW), free cash flow, MPE (PPV).
  • Implement and ensure compliance with Corporate Policy
  • Manage End Of Life materials working with external suppliers ad internal functions (sustaining and engineering)
  • Create periodic reports regarding main KPIs, projects and activities in order to update internal and external functions within the Organizations.
  • Manage prices and contract negotiation
  • Supervise team's daily activities, motivate and engage people.
  • Evaluate people performance, identify focus areas for professional & personal development.
  • Promote hiring, firing, promotion and reward within own area.
  • Must Haves

  • Education : Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Economics; preferred Master Degree in Engineering or Business Management
  • Experience : Minimum of 3, max 6 years’ experience of materials planning ideally in the automotive or manufacturing environment
  • Good understanding of supply chain processes
  • Strong IT systems knowledge, including advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge and experience of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems
  • Fluent in English
  • Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of lean and 6 sigma tools
  • Project management capabilities
  • CPIM certification
  • Work Location : Mirandola (Modena - ITALY)
