This position will report into the VP, WW Demand Gen & Field Marketing


  • Define the EMEA marketing strategy that will support MongoDB’s goals to drive revenue and increase brand awareness in the region and regularly share results with key stakeholders
  • Align closely with the EMEA field sales organization to build and accelerate pipeline, being responsible for the EMEA number
  • Develop the regional partner marketing strategy
  • Partner closely with the global marketing organization to drive the campaign and content localization strategy
  • Manage, coach, and mentor the EMEA Field Marketing team
  • Drive global marketing initiatives as a member of the extended marketing leadership team
  • Ensure our EMEA marketing strategy thoughtfully targets our diverse personas from developers, architects, and engineers through to the C-suite
  • Produce creative programs, redefine best practices, and set new standards across the EMEA and global marketing organizations
  • Requirements

  • 12+ years of relevant, B2B marketing experience, with a preference for candidates with experience in high-growth technology companies
  • 4+ years Marketing leadership experience in EMEA
  • Consistent track record of delivering pipeline growth and return on investment on budget and time
  • Significant experience working with a strong Enterprise sales team
  • Successful record of building and executing impactful, innovative campaigns
  • Ability to influence partner expectations, secure consensus, and get alignment
  • Deep expertise in engaging the enterprise technology decision maker audience through programming and content
  • Understanding of sales pipeline, key drivers, and the role that marketing plays at each stage of the buyer and customer journeys
  • Deep expertise in data analysis to influence critical business decisions
  • Ability to hire top talent and shown success in team building, day-to-day management, mentorship, and coaching

  • Thoughtfully connected with all of your key marketing and sales partners
  • Gained an understanding of the idiosyncrasies of the EMEA region for MongoDB and highlight areas for improvement
  • Success at 3 Months

  • Be seen as a thought partner and coach to your team
  • Navigated a quarter end including deep analysis of successes and failures and participated in a sales QBR series
  • Owned 1 - 2 strategic global initiatives for the marketing organization as part of the extended marketing leadership team
  • Fully synthesized key learnings into a forward-looking regional marketing plan
  • Success at 6 Months

  • Fully rolled out a half-yearly EMEA marketing plan
  • Shown QoQ improvement in EMEA sourced pipeline results
  • Gained the confidence of the sales team and be seen as a key partner in driving their business
  • Supervised 1 -2 unique, inventive programs that raise the bar for the entire marketing organization
