As our Product Project and Portfolio specialist, you directly manage key projects while overseeingour Collaboration, Content and Portal Services project portfolio investments.
You facilitateplanning, decision-making and execution required to deliver strategic objectives. In this this role, you will manage key projects but also beresponsible for ensuring thatour scrum masters and project managers have an approved budget, defined benefits, and consistent portfolio financial elements for all our initiatives.
A Day in the Life of a Product Project & Portfolio Specialist
Work with key stakeholdersto define the Project Portfolio and ensure it is aligns to our organisation’s objectives
Lead reviews of all significant portfolio elements on a periodic basis and on demand
Provide visibility of trends and forecasts versus plans and recommend if elements should continue as-is, be significantly changed, re-
prioritized, placed on hold or discontinued
Ensure and balance the availability of the required skills, competencies, and budget across teams within the product portfolio.
Support leverage activities of the product groups in different delivery models
Support Product Managers, Project Managers, pool leads, and scrum masters identifying, prioritize and coordinate resources engaged in our initiatives
Recommend where to prioritize investments and capabilities across teams within our product and project portfolio
Manage your own projects, planning and organizing activities, coordinating project resources, raising risks and issues and managing your project communication
Provide budget planning & benefit realization assistance to the Product Stream
What else will make you successful?
Bachelor's or master's degree in information systems, business administration,a related field, or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in a combination of Portfolio Management, Project Management, Agile, or information and IS / IT roles with at least two (2) years managing IT project portfolios
Expertise managing projects, Agile sprints, and portfolios that span multiple diverse technologiesincluding SAP, Microsoft infrastructure and services (Office 365), other collaboration solutions, or IT operations
Good understanding of ITIL framework
Certifications in Management of Portfolios(MOP), Scrum Master, and / or project management (Prince2, PMI, PMP, etc) will give you an advantage
Data analysis / interpretation experience that shows a strong ability to convert general data and findings into applied, specific information and recommendationsthat add value to business planning and program evaluation
Experience in finance management, business case development, and benefit realization
Experience working in a global environment and with virtual teams
Excellent English communicationskills applied with different stakeholders, nationalities, and mediums (face-to-face and remote)
Proven ability to support Agile project teams by providing advice and guidance on portfolio management
