At AKQA Italy, we are looking for a Creative Technologist who will be based either in our Venice or in our Milan studio.
As a Creative Technologist, you will work with some of the best people in the industry, using your imagination, creativity, and technological skills to create physical and digital experiences for some of the world’s most forward-thinking brands.
You will be involved in the exploration of undocumented technologies and in designing prototypes and solutions for different digital projects.
You will embody a versatile approach combining creativity, technology, and business-oriented leading vision, and you will contribute to AKQA’s founding values Innovation, Service, Quality, and Thought.
Able to lead a multidisciplinary team, fostering constructive dialogue and listening to feedback and different points of views
Able to work in partnership with and to oversee the work of the DevOps and Developers team during prototyping and execution phases of the project
Able to work with business and creative teams in the definition of technical and functional requirements of solutions
Able to understand and benchmark feasibility and costs for creative ideas, proactively proposing alternative solutions
Up to date on the evolutions and the most relevant cases in the innovation, technology, and service design fields.
Able to take an active role in building the technical leadership of the agency through talks, participation in events, and educational projects
Skills and Experience
Good understanding of the clients’ business goals and target’s needs
Able to represent creative ideas through sketch and / or prototypes development
Able to actively contribute to the development of the technological culture of the agency through a passionate and sharing-oriented approach
Able to present complex ideas in a simple, engaging, and effective way
Knowledge and past experience with programming languages
Familiarity with the design of architecture software
Knowledge of sensors and hardware platforms (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.)
Fluent in English (both oral and written).
Good knowledge of Italian appreciated, but not required.
