Job Description :
The successful candidate will be part of the team in charge of developing new instrumentation for machine physics and synchrotron radiation diagnostics.
He / she will investigate new technical solution for the electron and photon beam diagnostics and stability feedback systems.
Initially he / she will be put in charge of the development of new generation electron beam position monitors. He / she is expected to communicate relevant results at international conferences and through publication in suitable scientific journals.
A Ph.D. in Physics, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline is required, together with proven experience and a suitable publication record in electron beam diagnostics.
Deep knowledge of RF, linear and digital electronics, signal processing and digital filtering is essential. Good knowledge of HDL FPGA programming language, LabVIEW programming environment and electronic CAD tools is necessary.
Good time management skills and ability to prioritize are expected, together with the ability to interact with staff and facility users at all levels and to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Good oral and written communication skills in English are essential. A working knowledge of Italian language would be desirable.
