Job description
We are looking for aBU Customer Quality Engineer within the Electric Powertrain Business Unit.
He / she will be the primary interface to German Customers for what concern the Quality aspects in series production by monitoring Quality performance vs expectation and sponsor / promote the analysis process of the claims occurred and launching the quality improvement processes.
Main activities / responsibilities :
Be the first Interface to Customer for Quality problems (0Km & Field) and manage the Resident activities (1st Leven Analysis to confirm the fault) at Customer sites
Monitor & report the Customer’s Quality KPIs trend & promote improvement plan when necessary
Periodically send the summary of Quality status of their products including evaluation of risks
Review and approve Plant Quality 8d reports before delivery to customer (for critical cases only)
Read across of improvement actions between Different Plants
Support Marelli Plant(s) for Quality aspects (e.g. deviations)
Discuss and negotiate with Customer the Quality Agreements, Warranty contracts and costs
Support preparation and participation to meetings with Customer for the Quality aspects
Support sales in reviewing customer proposals for new contracts or agreements in series production
Support Audits from Customer and IATF Certification Body for its own Quality System process

Problem solving & Analytic tools and methodologies
Knowledge of series production management standards and procedures
Knowledge of quality tools such as 8D reporting, FMEA, PPAP and APQP
Basic knowledge and experience in Manufacturing, Process & System Audit (e.g. VDA 6.3)

Language Skills
Fluent written and spoken English
German language is a plus
Education & Former Experience
Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Degree.
At least 3 years of experience in Automotive Industry preferable if in Quality or R&D departments
Electronic or Mechanical graduate or bachelor’s degree
Basic knowledge of mechanical drawings
Basic knowledge of IATF standard
Good knowledge of MS Office suites
Other Requests
Available for Business trips to visit customer sites and Marelli plants
Availability for sporadic international Business trips upon need
