Education required : Bachelors or Masters degree in Automation Engineering, Computing, Mechatronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Robotics Technology Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Engineering with modules in Automation, Robotics, Systems, Software and / or Cyber Security.

Language requirement : Written and spoken fluency in Italian and English

Other requirements :

Willingness to be geographically mobile throughout rotations - You could be based at any of our Italian Pharmaceutical Manufacturing or Vaccines sites.

We’re looking for leaders of the future in Automation Engineering

The aim of this program is to develop the future engineering, operational and technical leaders within our Pharmaceutical and Vaccines Supply Chain.

We’re looking for highly motivated engineering graduates who are keen to develop into our next engineering leaders. You will be energised by the thought of being part of our engineering team, ensuring we have the latest, safe, efficient and reliable equipment to deliver life-saving medicines t& vaccines to people in 90% of the world’s countries every year.

Over three stretching rotations, our Future Leaders Graduate Programme will challenge and support you to grow professionally and personally.

You’ll get to meet senior leaders and network with other graduates from across GSK. You will develop your knowledge of vaccines and pharmaceutical manufacturing first-hand as well as your technical and leadership skills.

You’ll have support to accelerate your learning, which all adds up to a role that’s designed to transform talented engineers into key, senior figures.

What will you do?

  • Introduce new digital technologies to transform our business
  • Identify engineering best practices and new technologies to support the digital transformation
  • Optimize the performance of the control systems that are part of our manufacturing operations, e.g., maintaining and troubleshooting site control systems
  • Deliver automation projects, such as defining and implementing design improvements, upgrading and installing control systems and robotics systems, and ensuring that suppliers and site equipment comply with international standards
  • Identify and mitigate potential Cyber security risks or vulnerabilities related to Operational Technology hardware and software
  • Gain hands-on knowledge of digital technologies, the business and the role that Automation plays in supplying our patients
  • Identify, using data analysis & big data, areas for improvement.
  • Testing and commissioning
  • Provide day-to-day support for risk assessments, equipment issues and breakdowns
  • You’ll be excited by the thought of :

  • A relevant engineering degree and be keen to learn
  • To be fluent in Italian & English

  • Our Future Leaders Graduate Programme is designed to accelerate the development of graduates who don’t have significant previous professional work experience in the area to which they are applying.

    Of course, many graduates who join the programme have worked while studying or after graduation. If you’ve already developed substantial experience working in a professional role in your sector, while you would be able to apply for this program, you may also want to look at direct entry roles in our businesses, as these may be the best way to build on your existing skills and expertise and develop a career at GSK.
