With the ongoing implementation of the BEPS Actions and increasing complexityof tax legislation, companies operating in the global economy experiencecomplex tax issues which require a coordinated global delivery of servicesincorporating both knowledge of national legislation, as well as theappropriate international perspective.

Our global tax group also assists clientsin structuring a wide range of transactions, from private equity deals tocorporate acquisitions and disposals.

Our tax lawyers draw upon the experienceof colleagues in numerous areas of law, including intellectual property andtechnology, corporate and finance, real estate, projects, employment andemployee benefits.

The DLA international Tax Team has the motto "One team,no borders" and we are increasingly close to each other.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The team assists clients in relationto Italian direct and indirect taxation in a wide variety of tax topics (e.

g.,finance & projects, debt restructuring, real estate, corporate, M&A,energy). It also guarantees - where necessary - a cross-

border approach insynergy with other tax teams of DLA Piper operating worldwide.

  • A corporate taxassociate, familiar with M&A transactions, joint ventures and groupreorganisations
  • An interest ininternational tax, ideally with some experience of cross-border structuring andtax treaties
  • Excellent legaldrafting and analytical skills
  • Proven experienceof drafting and negotiating documentation

  • We do not set upper or lower limits of pqe for any of our vacancies. We have however given an indicative pqe as an approximate guide for applicants.
  • Candidates who have at least 1 year pqe, are likely to have the right level of knowledge and have gained the right level of experience needed to be able to undertake this role

  • Builds anddevelops own network of internal and external contacts
  • Awareness ofbusiness development initiatives in the department and identifies ways tocontribute
  • Has some experience in tax litigation
  • Exhibitsbehaviour consistent with the firm's values and builds relationships based onrespect, trust and integrity
  • Able to workeffectively as part of a team and supervise more junior lawyers / trainees
  • Takes ownershipfor achieving agreed objectives
