Job Summary

The role of Navigation Algorithm Engineer is dedicated to the development and tuning of inertial navigation and sensor fusion angorithm, such as hybridization with GNSS and other aiding sensors, to optimization of algorithms for specific applications and to the analysis of on-field test results .

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Participation to the design and tuning of navigation sensor fusion algorithm
  • Participation to the validation of sensor error model
  • Verification of the coding in embedded software application
  • Analysis of IMU / INS outputs during performance tests in order to evaluate performance parameters and refine the overall performance
  • Required skills :

  • Matlab / Simulink programming language (expert)
  • C programming language (discrete)
  • Digital filtering (good)
  • Know-how related to aleatory variables and statistics in general
  • Strong mathematical background in modelling and simulation, attitude representation and propagation, rotation matrix, data filtering technique, optimization methods (at least least square method
  • Written and spoken English (B1)
  • Deep interest for simulation, modelling and inertial navigation algorithm
  • Teamwork capability with high flexibility in managing multitask operations
  • Capability of exploring autonomously innovative algorithms and solutions
  • Preferred skills :

  • Experience in inertial navigation algorithm implementation and validation
  • Experience with Kalman Filtering and optimization technique, model identification
  • Experience with inertial measurement units (IMU)
  • Experience with FOG technology
  • Experience with sensor compensation modelling
