We are looking for a Data Architect / Data Governance practitioner to discuss and provide advice and guidance on data architecture needs to Technology Division colleagues in Headquarters Rome, regional bureaus and country offices around the world.
Responsible for key duties : Facilitate the development, optimization, and oversee the organization data systems (conceptual and logical data architecture).
Analyse and provide guidance and recommendation for data modelling, ontology design, and implementation methods to align with organizational policies and any external regulations.
Provide guidance on data model / Ontology discussion. Facilitate discussion on the integrity and security of organizational data assets.
Determine needs for data integration and requirements for master data management and data distribution across different data domains.
Provide insight and analyse data architecture and integration solutions for improvement opportunities and challenges. Influence change and enforce data best practices, standards, and governance.
Identify data requirements and related KPIs and metrics for availability, integrity, and confidentiality. Main deliverables : Design and develop a process and the compendium of data sources / data services in the data ecosystem.
Design and articulate data integration patterns. Develop the data catalogue for data services / data flows outside DOTS (data integration platform, powered by Palantir Foundry).
Document requirements and logical data flow for master data management. Provide advice and update on Data Principles. Experience sought : 4+ years of relevant progressive work experience in data management, data governance, data architecture, Business Intelligence and analytics, and project management.
Experience in data architecture, data modelling, database design, glossary definition, metadata model. Technical knowledge and understanding of data architecture complexity.
Experience in data model design and metadata management. Plans work for self and others to deliver within agreed scope, activities, and deadlines.
Good written and oral communication skills. Works effectively in an English language environment. Start as soon as possible, for a trial period of 3 months, extendable for the remainder of the calendar year based on good performance.
