Scope and Purpose

We are looking for a skilled Data Scientist to join our team. In this role, you will lead a range of data analytics efforts, monitor and improve the performance of our models.

As the person in charge of analysis and insights, your responsibilities will include :

  • Diving deep into data, doing analysis, and discovering patterns.
  • Analyze and evaluate the quality of data used for model training and testing
  • Present actionable conclusions to drive business decisions in a clear manner and supported by data
  • Collaborate proactively with scientists and engineers on data collection and feature design efforts
  • Handle competing requests from a range of projects leaders
  • Communicate your results to diverse audiences with effective spoken communication, visualization and writing
  • Deploy solutions in a service oriented architecture
  • Required Experience

    1-6 years of experience in similar roles

    Competencies Required

  • Ability to develop experimental and analytic plans for data modeling processes, ability to accurately determine cause and effect relations
  • Understanding of relevant statistical measures and their impact on the business
  • Excellent team work ability, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

  • MSc or PhD in Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, Econometrics or related quantitative field
  • Expert in R, Python, Matlab or Scala. Experience with SQL
  • Experience with supervised and unsupervised algorithms
  • Experience with statistical modelling / machine learning techniques
  • Fluency in English (both verbal and in writing)
  • Desired :

  • Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP, topic modelling, sentiment analysis, word to text, global vectors for word representation, Recurrent Neural Networks, semantic analysis, FastText embeddings, Latent Dirichlet Allocation)
  • Experience with image recognition (item recognition, Convolutional Neural Network, reinforcement learning)
  • Experience in the Financial sector
  • Experience with big data tools (Spark, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, NoSQL)
  • Experience with tools like Keras and TensorFlow
  • Experience with Containers and API technologies
  • Experience in Operational Research
  • Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide
  • Experience with software development processes (e.g. version control and unit testing)
  • Demonstrable track record dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in an agile, dynamic environment
  • Experience in agile software development methodologies
  • Fluency in Italian
