Job Overview

The Solutions Consultants are an integral part of the Clarivate CompuMark sales strategy. They play an important role in supporting client acquisition and retention efforts.

Solutions Consultants partner with Sales to meet new business and revenue retention goals through the delivery of product demonstrations, on boarding support and product training.

This includes but is not limited to :

  • Understanding clients’ business needs and then developing and delivering presentations which provide solutions
  • Assisting in defining product solutions and developing on boarding plans
  • Delivering training programs to improve client retention rates
  • Supporting a blended learning model by creating recorded sessions and delivering public web-based and onsite training
  • Pre Sales

  • Demonstrate and explain products to new prospects and existing clients
  • Help Sales articulate the benefits of products to clients
  • Conduct web-based and onsite training sessions
  • Generate upsell and cross-sell opportunities in conjunction with Sales
  • Meet service targets and help contribute to revenue targets
  • Understand how to tailor presentations to economic, technical and user buyers
  • Post Sales

  • Proactively initiate, design and deliver workshops and events for clients and prospects
  • Provide onsite and web-based demonstrations, trainings and workshops in support of sales activities to clients
  • Gather and respond to technical questions and other client needs
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of training and sales support materials and strategies
  • Participate in client conferences, trade shows and meetings
  • Provide feedback to product management and sales on clients’ use of products, additional service needs and competitive situations
  • Deliver and organize workflow based training sessions for clients
  • Provide escalation support for client services and other colleagues on product related issues
  • Use CRM ( as an activity planning tool and to capture all client related activity and feedback
  • Identify client risk and opportunities and work closely with the account teams in order to maintain and further develop client satisfaction and retention
  • Qualifications

  • Italian and French language fluency, other languages a plus, especially English
  • Four-year college degree, MLS degree a plus
  • Legal industry product training or sales experience a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of computer business and software applications, especially online and web-based research
  • Excellent presentation skills that exude confidence
  • Strong customer service skills as demonstrated by the ability to anticipate and meet client needs and build relationships
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team selling environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels in a firm or corporation
  • Ability to gain and retain client confidence and respect
  • Solid interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Good time management skills to plan and prioritize workload and demands
  • Available for up to 50% business travel
  • Preferred :

  • Good knowledge of IP & Science / trademarks products
  • Knowledge of how intellectual property is used and leveraged within a business - Experience as part of a solution-based selling team
  • Experience training professionals, either internally or externally
