My client is one of the premium brands from within the engineered products space, boasting over 3 billion dollars in revenue and a hugely successful diverse portfolio.

They continue to set the standard in product innovation and customer service. Due to this they are looking for a "Corporate Continuous Improvement Leader" for their European operation.

The CI Manager is responsible for continuous improvement initiatives by deploying a variety of lean tools, processes and concepts that improve business performance.

This role also facilitates associate involvement at all levels in continuous improvement activities. The CI manager will work with other business leaders to drive transactional and manufacturing improvements.

The role will oversee all lean activities to ensure coordinated progress toward the completion of Goal Deployment objectives.


  • Build an ecosystem of lean leaders that allows the business to stand as an exporter of talent
  • Continue to evolve the Lean Enterprise program and ensure the use of the lean / CI tools in daily management
  • Create in-house lean expertise through the training and certification of associates
  • Create and maintain project schedules and metric tracking
  • Develop and deploy lean tools and growth tools throughout the organization
  • Drive the identification and adoption of "best practices" from other businesses in the group
  • Lead and facilitate kaizen events as needed & perform benchmarking studies as required
  • Promote / facilitate the diagnosis of flow of work / information(Value Stream Mapping) to ID improvement priorities
  • Responsible for the execution of the lean calendar at identified sites including kaizen funnel review and charter development
  • Review / facilitation of lean events and thorough follow up of events to ensure successful completion and sustainment
  • Work with assigned functional leaders to establish priorities in-line with Goal Deployment priorities

  • Requirements (advantageous not a must)

  • 4-7 years of production experience and hands-on experience running a department / plant / value stream
  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, in business, or an engineering discipline
  • Capacity to design, develop, and implement a Lean roadmap for an operating business
  • Demonstrated mastery of a variety of lean and Six Sigma tools (value stream mapping, 5S, flow, pull, SMED, etc.)
  • Exceptional ability to use business metrics to drive business results and strong influence skills without direct authority
  • Exposure to leading and participation in a wide variety of training environments
  • Proven track record of leading lean initiatives to achieve business results, specifically office related lean / transactional process improvement
  • Strong Project Management Skills within a manufacturing environment
