Jun 17, 2018, 7 : 43 : 50 PM SUMMARY OF ROLE Directly manage the Field Instruments Northern Italy Sales Team and engage with all appropriate customers to plan, develop and control the implementations of Sales Initiatives to achieve orders volume and profitability targets for agreed product lines in the agreed sales territory.
REPORTS TO : Field Instrumentation Sales Director, Italy SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Define the annual budget for Northern Italy.
Responsible for the achievement of Sales, Bookings and profitability targets for the appropriate product lines in the agreed sales territory.
Identify the market requirements and specifics, develop and execute the strategies and tactics for growth of orders and profitability.
Lead the development, reviewing process and communicate the consistent business development plan for designated area of responsibility to Emerson organization.
Actively visit strategic customers and seek new opportunities to promote products, services and solutions.
Lead and support the sales team by setting clear and measurable business objectives.
Identify the needs and profiles for people resources required to implement agreed sales initiatives; actively support the hiring process.
Identify the needs and actively support the process of skills and talents development within the designated team using available Performance excellence process and tools.
Report regularly to Field Instrumentation Sales Director Italy on market trends, competition strategies and customer behavior which may affect the Emerson business strategies.
Maintain and regularly update business expectations using POR and S&OP Processes together with the Sales team.
Participate in customer development activities as trade shows, fairs, conferences aiming to promote the sale of products, solutions and services.
Continuously drive the improvement of customer safisfaction by understanding, communicating and executing solutions to their needs.
Ensure that all sales tools are fully utilized and valued by the Salesforce (Customer Relationship Management, Customer Segmentation).
Cooperate closely with operations, order management, project execution and service teams to ensure the appropriate delivery of commitments to customer and maximize the customer’s overall satisfaction.
Observe the Business Ethics stipulated by Emerson.
Ensure that all transactions are properly screened and recorded in accordance with the company’s Trade Compliance procedures and to escalate any concerns or questions to the local Gatekeeper.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Engineering degree or comparable technical education
Minimum 5-7 years experience in Direct Sales and Sales Management, including people management
Strong personality with the ability to communicate with all levels within and outside of the organization
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Fluent in Italian and English
Good knowledge of Office Package
Willingness to travel in the region and international
