PRIMARY FUNCTION :
The Engineering Planner, being part of the Powertrain Engineering team, will be a strategic contributor working within Budget and Planning Department at a Global Level.
The challenge of this role will be to contribute by supporting the Chief Engineers (Engine and Driveline) in projects planning in terms of R&D Budget / Forecast / resource allocation / cost monitoring / strategical and operational reporting.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Preparation budget / forecast plan for projects in collaboration with Technical Director, Chief Engineer, Development Functions, Platforms
Evaluation (Hour / Cost) in collaboration with Technical Director, Chief Engineer and Development Functions, for engineering activities in response to Product Requests / Initiatives
Planning and monitoring the allocation of resources to the different projects and activities in according to the Development Functions
Monitoring engineering spending for each project and related deviations
Analysis and resolution (check economic coverage) for activating external suppliers, requests for materials development and internal bench activities
Hand out reporting, according timetable for drafting institutional documents, variance analysis and resolution of the "issue"
Quickly inform the affected technical areas of any issue related to delays, spending, conflicts of resource allocation and drive the implementation of the corrective action
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS :
A Bachelor degree in Engineeringor Finance
A minimum of 2 years of experience in Product Development or Finance
Experience in budgeting procedures and techniques
Good spoken and written english
