In this role your main tasks will be to promote and support the deployment of the local Quality and Operational Excellence (Q&OpEx) strategy to accelerate the rate of operational improvement, with resulting cost savings within the operation.
You will establish and implement Q&OpEx priorities and targets in cooperation with functional team members across all functions within the local operation, monitors progress and supports actions on deviations from targets.
You will train and coach local teams in the standard quality improvement approach (i.e. Lean Six Sigma) to develop organization capability to continuously improve business practices and performance.
On your daily basis you will conduct benchmarking and best practice spreading within the operations to embed a culture of excellence in operational performance.
You will assist with the creation and implementation of, and ensure conformance with, instructions, guidelines and procedures to drive standardization and consistent execution in delivery of customer requirements as well as assist with the analysis and communication of customer perceptions to guide the local improvement actions toward greater customer satisfaction.
Your daily tasks include conducting test protocols to ensure that the assigned products and systems created by the local organization meet specifications.
You will train operators in basic quality test routines to support quality at-source processes, and verifies quality assurance testing performed as a part of the value creation process.
On your daily basis you will assist production repair operator on the troubleshooting of defective units and perform failure analysis to drive continuous improvement of Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (EVI) products as well as assist and / or perform failure analysis on field return units.
In addition you will support product transfer to external facilities.
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering or a Technical High School Diploma. You have 5+ years of professional experience working in engineering, manufacturing, and / or quality as well as working experience in product development and manufacturing.
Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal groups (this may be necessary to negotiate changes and influence decisions) is required.
You have good communication skills English, both written and spoken. Availability to travel (10 / 15%) is also important.
You should have strong analytical skills, especially with data analysis, is preferred proven experience working with failure analysis, FMEA (Failure Modes & Effects Analysis), FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects, & Criticality Analysis), test engineering, and / or product reliability is a plus.
You have experience working with data-driven analytical methodologies for industrial quality applications especially Statistical Process Control SPC , Six Sigma, Process Capability (Cp, CpK), and / or Process Performance (Pp, PpK) Analysis.
Strong familiarity with ISO-9001 standards is preferred; expertise in QS-9000 / ISO TS 16949 / IATF 16494 will be considered as a plus.
