In this role you will have to develop test details, test sequences, testing methods and procedures as well as define equipment and instrumentation to be used with reference to the applicable standards for all types of products in different testing departments.
Additionally, you will be responsible for the selection of critical variants for tests, test specification, optimizing test portfolios, test execution, product certification, design verification & related test documentation.
Assigning the right priority and overseeing the allocated preferred resources, you will ensure the planning and implementation of test plans.
In cooperation with designers, engineers and quality team members, you will analyze and evaluate test results, prepare test reports and suggest changes to the product if necessary.
The position will also involve the monitoring of compliance with health & safety regulations during tests as well as during performances of other tasks in the lab.
Furthermore, you will contribute to processes aimed to maintain quality standards, meeting deadlines, proposing improvements in existing test techniques, based on experience and knowledge of new trends and equipment.
On your daily basis you will contribute to customer satisfaction by executing Service work according to customer order and expectation.
You will create and maintain a good relationship with customers and understands their needs as well as identify new sales opportunities and communicate them internally.
You will coordinate, prepare and ensure that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for Service activities.
Your daily tasks include preparing all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative and reporting work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed.
You will proactively identify potential equipment failures and request proactive corrective actions. You will troubleshoot equipment failure and make recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future.
You will proactively identify suggestions for product and quality improvement and communicate them further in the ABB organization as well as provide recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service.
In addition you will apply safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities and report unsafe practices and incidents.
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering coupled with minimum 2 years of experience in the same field. Experience in engineering and / or commissioning is a plus as well as experience with cross-
cultural relationships. Good English is required, knowledge of other European language will be an advantage. High focus on customers and their needs and intrinsic attitude to drive innovation and improvement is required.
