The Performance Sensing Business Unit has very substantial growth plans in Europe. To support these plans we are looking for a Sales Manager who is able to develop business through building and maintaining relationships in the automotive market in several business areas of our major accounts in Europe.

The Sales Manager is also responsible to lead a small team in the region. The Sales Managers will work from a home office and will report into the European Sales Director Performance Sensing organization.

Responsibility :

  • The Sales Manager will provide dedicated and focused support to key customers at all levels and functions.
  • Work closely with car manufacturers and major automotive component and systems suppliers to identify and win New Business Opportunities through close cooperation with marketing and engineering colleagues.
  • Identification, assessment and closure of New Business Opportunities.
  • Build and expand relationships with potential customers and seek to design in the company’s current and future technology to customer’s future products.
  • Communicating pro-actively strategies and tactics to the customer and manage customer expectations.
  • Responsible for the commercial negotiations (e.g. value proposition) and technical communication with the customers. In addition the management of contract enforcement for example implementation of long term price agreements.
  • Act as a team-leader of cross-functional key account management teams within the Sensata Technologies organization.
  • Enables new business models and channels to market.
  • Lead small local team.
  • Represents clients and market region in internal management reviews.
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree level in Engineering or Marketing with technology background.
  • Minimum 10 years sales experience in the automotive market.
  • Excellent communication skills, plus a high degree of self-motivation and determination.
  • A natural commercial attitude (ability to close a deal), a focus on contributing to the customer requirements and a drive to solve problems rather than report them.
  • Commercial skills, negotiating skills customer orientation, presentation skills, understanding for future business potential.
  • Native Italian and fluency in English is essential. German a plus.
  • Willing to travel.
