Position Purpose :
Responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of the Contract Manufacturing organization and performance of the global Contract Manufacturing (CM) network.
The scope of this role is the development and deployment of practices including contract excellence and SRM for the end to end supply chain of the network and includes sourcing strategy development, RFPs.
In addition, this position supports selected M&A initiatives on behalf of GPS. This position requires strong personal initiative to identify opportunities and achieve business goals.
Primary Accountabilities :
Deliver and sustain global operations objectives in line with Global Procurement and Regional Product Supply business objectives including Cost, Cash, Supplier Reduction, SHE, Quality, Customer Service, DP and Sales Growth
Responsible for ensuring consistency and standardization in 3PM processes throughout regions.
Identify gaps in processes and capabilities, liaise with capability group, ensure deployment of global capabilities (i.e. eFat)
Main contact point for global initiatives impacting 3PM (i.e. RedEl)
Consolidate regional KPIs, identify and drive gap closure plans
Coordinate global communications and consistent messaging
Lead consolidation strategy
Supports and drives the 3yr saving and efficiency Hunting to Farming programs
Drives a culture of strong performance. Champions change management activities within the team to continually improve the efficiency and quality of contract manufacturing execution
Represent Contract Manufacturing in Global Procurement and Regional Product Supply teams and serves as member of designated Product Supply Leadership Team
Experience / Skills / Knowledge
Demonstrated broad based, multi-disciplined management success
Must be capable of assessing and effecting organizational change that will meet the increasing needs caused by new products, categories or business acquisitions.
Leadership, sound judgment, and solid technical problem solving skills are essential. The incumbent must have a proven track record of achieving results in a cross functional environment of management peers.
Strong operations and plant production management background with relevant technologies required.
Procurement knowledge of global market analysis, macro-economic drivers, sourcing category strategy, supplier relationship management, should-
cost models, negotiation strategies, supplier continuous improvement programs / Lean initiatives.
Knowledge of critical procurement legal requirements and contracting best practices.
Exceptional communication skills both written and oral
Proven team leadership experience in integrated supply chain. Ideally having gained experience in different functional areas of operations / SCM including contract manufacturing, procurement, engineering, planning, quality, and logistics
Sustainable track record in identifying, developing and executing change / process improvement initiatives
Well-developed business and financial management capability, and a keen understanding of the business equation and how business and sourcing / procurement decisions impact financials (P&L, Balance Sheet).
This includes a good understanding of the financial and cost drivers in supply chain management.
