For our Electrification Products Division, Business Unit Building Products located in Santa Palomba (Rome) we are looking for an Intern who will directly report to the functional manager.
You will support all the activities mainly related to study of test model based on DMA test machine for identification and control of plastics parts, evaluating any anomalies and possibly impact on the product life cycle.
You will be responsible for :
Business goals :
Cost reduction of plastic raw materials
Streamline flow validations of new solutions on components and subassemblies
Main activities related to the experimental project to be carried out using ABB-4Q (DMAIC) techniques :
Analysis of accumulated data on the subject of mechanical engineering technopolymers from the CQ office
Identifying the most significant physical / mechanical tests
Support for tool development in Industry 4.0 for the dynamic testing strategy
Project output :
Proposal of a robust mechanical test model for polymer validation and identification and its variants
Implementation and evaluation of the new identified methodologies
Know-how on a new DMA complex test machine
Debug and support for Go Live of projects related to Industry 4.0
Debug and co-design of control templates
Support for process / product analysis with the use of FMEA and Lean 6 Sigma techniques
You are a perfect candidate if you are or will be soon graduated in Mechanical Engineering and you are fluent in English and Italian.
You are a strongly motivated person, with good interpersonal skills and team work attitude. Comprehensive computer knowledge of software for mechanical design and modeling (ex : CATIA) is required, as well as knowledge of data analysis database software Excel;
moreover knowledge of software such as MatLab is a preferred.
